The Vice-Chancellor, Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has disclosed that of over 50, 000 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates that applied to the institution for the 2024/2025 session, only 12,590, representing 25.2 per cent, secured admission.
Olatunji-Bello, who disclosed this at the matriculation ceremony for admitted students, assured of a conducive learning environment that will make their experiences worthwhile. She, however, urged them to be of good behaviour by shunning vices that could truncate their academic pursuit.
